TOPIC: Gardening for Birds, Butterflies & Beyond – Helping the environment starts in your own backyard. Learn how to attract and protect native species, such as Monarch butterflies, nesting songbirds and hummingbirds with beautiful landscape features. Participants will receive a free copy of the Creating Habitat Guide.
SPEAKER: Diana Wilson is a Community Engagement Coordinator with Toronto and Region Conservation, where she develops and delivers eco-minded workshops on gardening for a cleaner, greener, healthier community. Diana previously worked in education at Toronto Botanical Garden and has a degree in environmental education from Queen’s University. Her current favourite plant is wild bergamot (Monarda fistulosa) for its beautifully scented leaves and big, pollinator-friendly blooms.
